Background and objective:
In different societies, burns are one of factors wasting capital and time of countries around the word, recovery of which incurs huge expenditures and has a slow process as well as some side effects and disabilities which make such patients prone to be damaged mentally and psychologically.
The aim of work was to evaluate the effects of Aloe vera and Vitis vinifera extract combination on wound healing second degree burn’s in male wistar rat and compared with SSD and other groups.
Method:
 72 male wistar rats were divided into 12 equal groups. The burn was made on the back of all rats, firstly dorsum of each rat was shaved and then the area was burned in order to 10 mm in diameter of second degree burn injury.
The burned areas in the groups included: were not treated with any healing agent (control) and were treated topically with eucerin, treated with silver sulfadiazine ، covered with %5 ، %1 ، %1.5 ،%2 Vitis vinifera extract in eucerin base cream and, covered with %5 ، %1، %1.5 %2 Aloe vera extract in eucerin base cream and with aloe vera plus Vitis vinifera extract twice a day respectively. 21 days later the rats were sacrificed and burned skin tissue samples were collected from the rats for histopathological examination. They were evaluated parameters to be considered for review included the number of hair follicles, sebaceous glands of angiogenesis, inflammation, acute (severe infiltration of neutrophils) and the formation of an epithelial layer.
