Abstract: (2686 Views)
Introduction:
Amoebiasis is a multifactorial, life-threatening public health issue and presumably the third parasitic disease cause of mortality - world wide,The aim of this study identified of E. histolytica in from stool samples isolated from Central laboratory and in Imam -Khomeini hospital at the University of Medical Sciences ,and Ilam city which is located in southwest Iran, from 2017 to 2018.
Materials and Methods:
Totally,2023 samples were examined with microscopy, and Thirty-duplicated Entamoeba histolytica/ dispar isolates were collected from hospital in Ilam, Iran. The isolates were identified and the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) was performed to detect the CP8 gene.
Results: In genotype confirmation, only were two isolates - the CP8 gene found in the PCR test. The sequencing results confirmed the afro-mentioned gene with 97% specifity.
Conclusion: It is concluded that PCR are highly sensitive to detect Entamoeba histolytica and play a fundamental role as screening tools in direct DNA extraction from stool samples in early detection of symptomatic and asymptomatic E. histolytica patients.
