Enterobacteriaceae, especially Escherichia coli, are the most common cause of nosocomial and community-acquired infections. The emergence and spread of Escherichia coli strains with multiple drug resistance complicates treatment for multiple severe infections.
In this study, pulse field gel electrophoresis (PFGE) method is used for genetic analysis of Escherichia coli strains with multiple drug resistance. Pulse field gel electrophoresis (PFGE) is one of the most useful developments in molecular epidemiology for the past few decades and is now considered the gold standard for molecular typing of microorganisms.
In this study, we have tried to study the genetic analysis of Escherichia coli isolates with multiple drug resistance and the pattern of antibiotic resistance and determine its types, because to prevent and control infections and to select appropriate treatment, genetic analysis and epidemiological study of the region Isolates with drug resistance are required.
