Giardia lamblia has proved to be the most common intestinal protozoan parasite in humans that
causes giardiasis. Given the high mutations in the genome of this parasite, the present study was
conducted to determine the prevalence of Giardia lamblia subtypes and their relationship with clinical
symptoms in patients who appear to have giardiasis. In 69 stool specimens with an appropriate
number of giardia cysts, the DNA was first purified, and the genotype was then determined based on
the glutamate dehydrogenase (gdh) gene sequence using PCR-RFLP. Data were collected on the
clinical symptoms of the patients through a questionnaire, and their relationship with molecular
results was studied. Four samples (5.8%) were found to be of subtype AI, 51 (73.9%) of subtype AII
and 14 (20.3 %) of subtype BIII. No BIV subtype was found in the present study. A correlation was
observed between Giardia lamblia genotypes (AI, AII and BIII) and abdominal pain. All of the people

(100%) who had the AI genotype (i.e. the zoonosis subtype) had been losing weight. There was a
significant correlation between weight loss and the AI subtype. All of the people (100%) infected with
the BIII genotype experienced diarrhea, and this genotype was found to be associated with diarrhea.
The present study found abdominal pain to be the most common symptom of giardiasis in Ilam
province. Moreover, humans were found to be the main reservoir for giardia lamblia, although
zoonosis subtypes such as AI and BIII still exist in the region and pose a risk for a giardiasis epidemic.

the current study was to determine the Fasciola spp. present in the
western part of Iran. In the present study, 45 samples were collected from
slaughterhouses in three provinces in the western part of Iran, including
Ilam, Lorestan and Kermanshah.
Methods: The flukes were detected using morphological methods and the
DNA of all samples was extracted. The ribosomal internal transcribed
spacer (ITS1) was identified by PCR and PCR-RFLP techniques using the
Rsa1 restriction enzyme. Then, 15% of the samples were sequenced.
Results: Based on their ITS1 sequence, all samples showed 700 bp bands.
The results of sequencing showed a similarity of 99% to 100% across
samples. Using the Rsa1 restriction enzyme, all samples produced three
distinct bands (60 bp, 100 bp, and 360 bp). These results demonstrated
that the most common fasciola in the western part of Iran in sheep and
cattle is F. hepatica.
Conclusion: The results of the present study showed that only the species
F. hepatica is parasitizing livestock in the western part of Iran. Further
studies using new molecular markers for more accurate identification of
fasciola-causing species will be useful in the control and prevention of
fascioliasis.

Suicide and depression is a general and widespread problem among people. Worldwide, 16 deaths out of every 100,000 deaths are due to suicide. This statistic is more common in the southern regions of the world. It has also been estimated that the number of people who commit suicide is 10-40% more than those who commit suicide (1). The evidence shows that the personality and human behavior of Badgorgon is related to monoamine compounds, especially serotonin (2,3). Serotonin plays a key role as a neurotransmitter in the nervous system that controls many mental behaviors and physical actions of humans (sleep, sexual desire,...). When the neuron receives the signal, the serotonin stored in the vesicles is released into the synaptic space (input). In the next step, the serotonin in the synaptic space is connected to the receptors of the next neuron (postsynaptic neuron) and stimulates them. output) (4). Serotonin transporter gene (SLC6A4) encodes an integral membrane protein that is responsible for the transport of serotonin across synapses (5,6). The serotonin transporter molecule is very effective in the process of the effect of this vital substance, and if the concentration of this substance is low, serotonin is not transported in the synaptic space and accumulates there, and if the amount of this molecule is high, serotonin is transferred at a faster rate, and this causes Serotonin transmission may be unstable and less effective.

Overuse and inappropriate antibiotic prescription for acute respiratory infections (ARIs) are one of the major contributors to the current antibiotic resistance problem. Also, ARIs are one of the most common infections so that, they are of great importance and can play a very important role in mortality in children and adults due to their very widespread and rapid spread. So, the purpose of this study is to train physician communication skills with patients in order to reduce use of antibiotic and subsequently reduce antibiotic resistance, proper use of antibiotics in cases where it is necessary to use, reduce self-medication and ultimately reduce costs.

Background: Environmental awareness and understanding of environmental issues are influential variables in environmental behaviors, and it is imperative for the community to educate on human behavior. It is only in the light of this type of training that many resolved environmental crises and sustainable development are realized. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of education on promoting environmentally responsible behaviors of first grade high school students in Ilam in 2016.
Methods: This study was an empirical study that was done on female high school students in Ilam city in 2016. Data collection tool was a researcher-made questionnaire. Two girls' high schools were randomly selected from the first public high schools of Ilam and randomly assigned to the experimental (N= 165) and control (N= 165) groups. Educational intervention was designed and implemented in 5-sessions of 30-minutes including environmental concepts, waste production and recycling, air and water pollution, water and energy saving, sewage and disposal methods for the case group. One month after the intervention, students in both groups were evaluated. Data were analyzed with SPSS software using independent t-test, paired t-test, chi-square, correlation and regression.
Results: Despite the similarity of the groups in the mean scores of knowledge, attitude and responsible behavior before intervention (P>0.05), there was a significant difference in the mean scores of all variables between the two groups after the intervention (P<0.05).
Conclusion: Community education is an effective strategy to raise environmental information, Developing environmental sensitivity and beliefs and ultimately promoting responsible environmental behaviors among first grade female students.

Parkinson's disease (PD) is one of the most common disorders related to the destruction of the central nervous system, which affects almost one percent of people over 50 years old. Parkinson's disease is a neurodegenerative disease that results from the gradual loss of dopaminergic neurons in the substantia nigra of the midbrain. In the clinic, this disease is characterized by movement symptoms such as muscle stiffness, tremors at rest, slowness of movement and walking. Also, other symptoms such as impaired consciousness, memory and perception are also symptoms of Parkinson's Human umbilical cord-derived mesenchymal stem cells (hUCMSCs) are one of the cells that have the potential to multiply and differentiate into other cells, including neurons (13,14). These cells can be used as an ideal source in regenerative processes due to easy access, rapid expansion in the culture medium and long-term survival in the host tissue. In addition, the mentioned cells have low immunogenicity, similar to bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells, and due to their low tumorigenic properties, they seem to be a suitable option for allogeneic transplantation. Therefore, in this study, this cell source is used for differentiation and production. Dopaminergic functional cell is used. In addition, other studies indicate that mesenchymal stem cells derived from the human umbilical cord have differentiating power towards fat, cartilage, bone and other cell lines and are also able to stimulate the nerve process through inducing substances. undergo transdifferentiation in invitro and in vivo environments and move towards nerve and glial cells

In the span of the COVID-19 pandemic, the number of deaths due to the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection has been increasing in a daily fashion. Morbidity and mortality among patients with or without comorbidities also suffering from COVID-19, demonstrates marked pattern variation. Such different patterns can be traced back to the genetic makeup of the host. Presently, single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) found in the genetic framework of the host, can be used to assign therapeutic approach or characterise the prognosis of many different viral infections. One SNP of note is IFITM3, certain genotypes of which can predict disease severity. These SNPs have a determinant influence on the natural history of many viral infections. To date, the impact of these SNPs on the progression or control of the SARS-CoV-2 infection has not been studied in Iran. Specification of these SNPs in the Iranian population may introduce new means of viral infection control. Therefore, this study may provide the preliminary basis of the correlation between the genetic character of the host and viral infection.

Brucellosis occurs in all parts of the world except in areas where bovine brucellosis has been eradicated. Annually, 500,000 new cases are reported, mainly in the Mediterranean, Central Asia, the Arabian Peninsula, India and Latin America. Brucellosis is endemic in all parts of Iran and is still considered a health problem. Iran ranks fourth in the world with an average incidence of 24.43 per 100,000 people. Due to the long borders of the country and lack of supervision over the import of livestock, large number of nomadic population, traditional methods of animal husbandry, insufficient supervision over the production and distribution of dairy products and lack of regular vaccination and testing and killing of livestock, many cases have been reported. In studies conducted in different parts of Iran, the prevalence of brucellosis in Kazerun is 8.7%, Bushehr 8.10%, Kerman 2.3% 2.31%, Isfahan, Gilan (rural areas) 8.9%, Mazandaran 9.53% and all tribes in the country 5% were reported.

Despite the importance of the disease and the different forms of the appearance of its signs and symptoms, a comprehensive study on the different signs and symptoms of the disease is not yet available. Therefore, this study was conducted in order to examine the different signs and symptoms of the disease in patients across the country in a structured review and to find out the frequency of each of these signs and symptoms in patients across the country. And letchr('39')s find a more general view of the manifestations of this disease of a thousand faces. This ultimately speeds up the diagnostic process and patients can achieve appropriate treatment in a shorter time

Corona Virus 2019 (COVID-19) is a new infectious disease that emerged in late 2019 in Wuhan, China and spread rapidly around the world. The COVID-19 epidemic is seriously affecting the daily lives of people around the world, including their health, economic well-being and social interactions. An epidemic of infectious diseases, as a major stressors in the lives of people and people around, can have many effects on mental health. Unpredictability and uncertainty about the COVID-19 pandemic, fear of infection and COVID-19-related environmental changes are the main stressors that cause mental health problems. And some factors, including economic hardship, social support, increased stress, and unemployment, may be associated with suicidal behaviors.

Suicidal behaviors are multifactorial and involve complex interactions between biological and environmental factors. Among them, a major risk factor for suicidal ideation is a stressful life. Preliminary reports of a suicide wave have been reported in several studies at different stages of the epidemic
As a severe crisis, suicidal ideation and related factors in the general population must be systematically examined.

Toxoplasmosis due to Toxoplasma gondii is a global threat with significant zoonosis. This parasite has two final hosts (cats) and intermediates (a wide range of warm-blooded animals). The most important complication of abortion parasites in pregnant women and domestic animals such as sheep and pigs, although in people with weakened immune system the disease occurs in the form of pneumonia (pneumonia) or brain (encephalitis). The parasite has three pathogenic forms for humans, each of which plays a major role in the epidemiology and transmission of the disease: oocysts (contaminated water and food), tachyzoites (congenital or through blood transfusions), and bradycosites (transmission through organ donation or meat products). (Infected with tissue cysts).

More than 30 years have passed since the Toxoplasma vaccine study, but the commercial vaccine for humans has not yet reached the production stage.
Killed or attenuated vaccines have not received much attention today in terms of human immunity or immunizing power in the body, but on the other hand, subunit vaccines are of interest to researchers. These vaccines include DNA vaccines or protein vaccines, which often work together with an adjuvant or helper to produce an appropriate immune response against the parasite.
In this way, antigens from many different stages of the parasite's life have been identified and evaluated to assess immunization, including surface antigens (SAGs), and organ antigens in tachyzoites and brady zoites such as microns (MICs). , ROP (Dop) and Dense Granules (GRA). Since fewer studies have been performed on parasites related to the parasite oocyte wall, we decided to conduct the present bioinformatics study on Toxoplasma gondii oocyte tyrosine-rich antigen (TrOWP).

Summary of the necessity of implementing the plan:
Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), which causes serious respiratory illness, was first reported in Wuhan, the capital of Hubei, China. Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), a coated virus, belongs to the beta-coronavirus family and contains single-stranded RNA that has been identified as the causative agent of COVID-19. Vaccination is the most effective approach to control the rapid spread of the disease. Antibodies play an important role in creating immunity from vaccination. Numerous studies have shown an association between higher antibody titers and the development of immunity against pathogens. In this study, the immunogenicity and protective effect of Sinopharm and AsteraZeneca vaccines will be evaluated by measuring serum IgG titer against spike protein using Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA), 21 days after the first and second doses.

Forty healthy people, including 20 people receiving the Sinofarm vaccine and 20 people receiving the Astraznica vaccine, are taking part in the study. Alcohol and drug users, people with autoimmune diseases, malignancies, users of immunosuppressive drugs, and people with other underlying diseases will be excluded from the study. The study protocol will be conducted in accordance with the ethical principles of research in Ilam University of Medical Sciences.
Serum IgG concentration against SARS-CoV-2 spike protein will be measured using the purchased kit. Polystyrene microtiter plates are coated with spike protein and serum samples (diluted 1: 100) and positive and negative controls are added to the plate wells in a total volume of 100 μl and the plates are heated to 37 ° C. They are incubated for 30 minutes.
After five washing steps with washing buffer, 50 μl of TMB substrate solution and 50 μl of the corresponding buffer are added and the samples are incubated at 37 ° C for 10 minutes. The reaction was completed by adding 50 μl of 2 M sulfuric acid and the A450 would be measured.

Epilepsy is one of the most serious neurological disorders in the world, and its frequency is 1-2% in the world population, and more than 40 million people worldwide are suffering from it (1), and the possibility of its prevalence is different in every age, race, and social class. Also, taking into account that seizures are one of the most obvious symptoms of this disease, and according to the available documents in our country, the number of people with epilepsy in Iran is around 700,000 (2), so the relationship between seizures and disorders related to It should also be noted that from the anatomical point of view, the disease is associated with disturbances in the temporal lobe of the hippocampus and changes in the apoptosis process in the cells of the hippocampus. (3) From a functional point of view, it is one of the effects of seizures, that is, the effect on the ion channels in the cell. The aforementioned can be mentioned, and on the other hand, due to the increasing use of ultrasound waves in sonography and the therapeutic use of these waves, and the existence of numerous reports about its effects on ion channels and the excitability of cells, as well as the effects of these waves on the process of apoptosis. Various cells, the need for more research in the aforementioned field is quite tangible. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of these waves in the diagnostic range of 3.5 MHz with an intensity of 65 mw/cm2 on the excitability threshold of nerve cells and also the effect of these waves on apoptosis induced by electroshock (as a proven teratogenic factor in intervention studies) E-applicable) in rat model.

Background and purpose: Lung diseases are one of the common causes of premature death and annoying and serious ailments among people. Since the incidence rate of pneumonia and bacterial infection of the lower respiratory tract can be used as a criterion for evaluating the internal and interventional measures as well as the hospital infection control system, and considering that a study similar to ours has not been conducted in Ilam province, We found it necessary to conduct the present study.
Materials and methods: BAL (bronchoalveolar lavage) samples were taken from hospitalized patients with respiratory problems by bronchoscopy. The samples were cultured on routine bacterial culture media, then their total cfu were counted and bacteria were identified. And antibiotic sensitivity was done by disc diffusion method according to CLSI protocol. PCR method using specific primers of 16srRNA gene for Mycoplasma pneumoniae, Chlamydia pneumoniae and mip gene for Legionella pneumophila was used to detect hard-to-grow bacteria. Chi square test and SPSS software were used for data analysis. In all cases, p values < 0.05) were considered significant.
Results: Out of 44 BAL samples in patients by culture method, 100 isolates were detected, including: Staphylococcus aureus (24) 31.2%, Streptococcus group A (18) 23.4%, Enterococcus (11) 14.3%, Acinetobacter baumannii, Pseudomonas aeruginosa (11) 14.3%, Enterobacter (10) 13%, Micrococcus, Staphylococcus epidermidis and Klebsiella pneumoniae (5) 6.5%. And by PCR method (4 cases), 9.1% was positive for Chlamydia pneumoniae and no band was found for Mycoplasma pneumoniae and Legionella pneumophila. Acinetobacter showed the highest resistance of 81.8% to azetronam and ceftazidime. 75% of Staphylococcus aureus isolates resistant to cefoxitin (MRSA) and 83.3% had mec A gene, and resistance to vancomycin (VRE) was observed in 27.3% of enterococcus species. Resistance to piperacillin, cefotaxime, ciprofloxacin, and imipenem was seen in Pseudomonas aeruginosa isolates with a prevalence of 54.5%, 45.5%, and 36.4%. The frequency of organisms in the ICU department (46%) was higher than other departments.

Discussion and conclusion: The presence of MRSA, Enterobacteriaceae resistant to third generation cephalosporins and Pseudomonas and Acinetobacter resistant to piperacillin, imipenem, cefotaxime, azetronam and ciprofloxacin among the studied departments and especially the ICU department are major concerns. For this reason, it is necessary to observe the principles of controlling infectious diseases of resistant bacteria.
