Background

Phenylketonuria (PKU), which is characterized by a deficiency of phenylalanine hydroxylase activity, is an autosomal recessive disorder of phenylalanine (Phe) metabolism. Newborn screening is the main population-based public health screening program that allows successful identification and treatment of PKU with low-Phe diet. The aim of this study was to evaluate the epidemiology of PKU screening in Iranian newborns.

Methods

The present study was designed based on MOOSE protocol and reporting was done in accordance with the PRISMA guidelines. The protocol of this systematic review was published in PROSPERO before it was performed (CRD42020162626). A comprehensive search was done in 10/10/2019 to find related literature on international online databases Web of Science, Scopus, EMBASE, Science Direct, PubMed/Medline, EBSCO, CINAHL, Cochrane Library, national online databases and the Google Scholar search engine. Heterogeneity among studies was assessed by I2 index and Q test. All meta-analyses were performed using Comprehensive Meta-Analysis Software ver. 2. P < 0.05 was considered significant.

Biofilm as a major cause of infection recurrence as well as chronic infections in many diseases including chronic urinary tract infections, cystic fibrosis, gingivitis, recurrent tonsillitis, surgical wound infections, middle ear infections in children and also leading Unfortunately, biofilms are responsible for causing a variety of antibiotic resistance and causing major problems in the treatment of diseases. Bacterial film-forming bacteria create antibiotic resistance by creating an extracellular matrix, and also by evading immune system agents by this mechanism.

Enterococci are opportunistic bacteria that are resistant to a wide range of antibiotics and in some cases cause multiple resistance to antimicrobial agents and are important causes of nosocomial infections and also cause many diseases including Urinary tract infections, wound infections, skin and soft tissue infections, as well as bloodstream infections.Unfortunately, the increase in antibiotic resistance has led to impaired treatment of many diseases. Numerous experiments have shown that single cells (planktonic) are sensitive to antibiotics, but the formation of biofilms leads to resistance of these bacteria to antibiotics.

So far, the cause of this phenomenon has been considered to be the protection of extracellular matrix layers around bacteria, which prevents the penetration and spread of antimicrobial agents, and this has led to extensive research on biofilms and other mechanisms that destroy them.

However, various studies have now shown the role of persister cells in chronic infections, as well as the presence of these biofilm-resistant cells, suggesting that they may be the cause of these antibiotic tolerance in biofilms. These are the persisters, and the biofilm may play a lesser role. Finally, these studies can hypothesize that perhaps the main reason for the development of antibiotic tolerance in the biofilm of persister cells and the role of biofilm in antibiotic tolerance is ruled out.

Therefore, in this study, various methods will be used to examine persister cells in antibiotic-tolerant biofilms, so that perhaps the reason for antibiotic resistance in persister cell biofilms will be introduced.

Pregnancy is a unique experience that the transmission period can be accompanied by important physical, mental and social changes. Over the pregnancy, underlying alterations is established in appearance, BMI and body image, which can affect pregnant women’s quality of life. Body image is a multidimensional construct encompassing perceptions, attitudes, beliefs, feelings, and behaviors regarding onechr('39')s appearance and also is an essential aspect of mental health that a mistake perception from body image can lead to mental and physical problems. Organic, hormonal and psychological changes along with factors such as economic status, stressful events and body image disturbance can change one’s ability for doing the usual roles of life during pregnancy, affecting both maternal and infant health. QOL is a multidimensional dynamic concept, affecting the performance of individuals in physical, psychological, social and spiritual dimensions. This was a cross-sectional study conducted on 250 pregnant women attending health centers in a western city of Iran. Participants were selected using a random sampling method. Data collection tools comprised a sociodemographic questionnaire, Body Image Concern Inventory (BICI), and quality of life questionnaire (Short Form-12). Data were analyzed using SPSS software version 22, with the significance level set at p < 0.05 for all analyses

Diarrhea is still a major threat to the young population in low- and middle-income countries (1) and is a leading cause of death in children (2).
According to the WHO, after HIV, the second leading cause of death in children under 5 is diarrhea (1). In 2015, diarrhea accounted for 8% of all under-5 deaths worldwide (3), and is also a problem not only in health but also in the economy due to the frequent hospitalization of children (4). ).
Laboratory diagnosis of gastroenteritis pathogens is mainly based on microscopy, culture and immunoassay (5, 6), but these methods are time consuming or sometimes insensitive (7) and the delivery time of these tests also varies, for example in Campylobacter species and Or Salmonella which can last for several days (5). In developing countries, the diagnosis of diarrheal infections generally relies on clinical signs, which usually do not lead to accurate identification of the pathogen causing the disease, and in the absence of specialized tests, infections are managed using an experimental antibiotic regimen. This is often associated with overuse of antibiotics and the spread of bacterial resistance (8), so the need for a rapid and reliable diagnostic method is felt.
Molecular methods have high sensitivity and specificity and with the help of it, bacterial agents can be identified simultaneously and specifically (9). Multiplex PCR experiments in recent years have paved the way for the diagnosis of gastrointestinal diseases (10).
Multiplex PCR is a fast and accurate method for detecting fecal pathogens (11). This method has shown high sensitivity compared to conventional methods for detecting most pathogens (10). Multiplex PCR is better because of its many advantages, including: simultaneous detection of a wide range of pathogens, faster time, lower costs and higher efficiency, and this leads to the use of this diagnostic tool in epidemiological studies of diarrheal infections (12). ).
Rapid and simultaneous amplification of several genes in one reaction is one of the goals pursued in Multiplex PCR. One of the features of this test, in addition to its speed and cost-effectiveness, is to minimize the possibility of contamination in the studied samples (13).
Having information about the prevalence of common diarrhea pathogens can be effective in controlling and properly managing the disease among Iranian infants and children. Therefore, due to the lack of sufficient information about the role of common gastrointestinal pathogens in pediatric diarrhea in Ilam, as well as the lack of appropriate diagnostic methods, gastrointestinal diseases of children are always considered as major health problems. On the other hand, most physicians rely on clinical symptoms. Therefore, finding a suitable method and diagnosis that is also fast, can help doctors in treating children for gastrointestinal infections in Ilam.
Therefore, by conducting this study, the prevalence of gastrointestinal bacteria in children in Ilam has been determined and a new perspective in helping treatment will be provided to physicians.

Diarrhea is the second leading cause of death in children worldwide. (1). More than 165 million cases of Shigella are reported each year, resulting in the death of 1.1 million people (3.5). The main route of transmission of shigellosis is from one person to another through the oral fecal tract (5). In this study, pulse field gel electrophoresis (PFGE) method is used to determine Shigella flexnery types. PFGE is one of the best methods used in typology and epidemiological studies in different regions, this method with high reproducibility and differentiation Which can be used for all human pathogens (19). PFGE is considered the gold standard for most bacteria due to its high differentiation power and is also one of the most important molecular methods for epidemiological studies and bacterial typing (18). Unfortunately, in Ahvaz, municipal sewage is discharged into the Karun River, which is the main source of drinking for the people of the region and irrigation of agricultural products. This issue pollutes the river water with various intestinal pathogens, including Shigella. Due to the ease of transmission of Shigella through oral fecal routes and low dose of bacterial pathogenicity, Karun River water pollution to municipal wastewater is a major risk for Shigella and in addition, the tropical climate of Ahvaz causes a critical outbreak of Shigella in the region. Be. In recent years, due to the arbitrary use of antibiotics, the prevalence of antibiotic-resistant Shigella species has increased. And finding the right way to control the infection seems vital. The purpose of typing studies on strains of a particular bacterium is to provide laboratory evidence for genetic association of strains isolated from patients. Typing information is needed to know how to control the spread of disease in the community. Due to our limited information about the common Shigella flexneri clones in Ahvaz and their relationship with the distribution of resistance genes in the region, we decided in a study on Shigella flexneri samples collected in different years to study the molecular epidemiology and identify clones. Common during different years in Ahvaz with PFGE method.

In recent decades, the hours and intensity of people's working lives have increased due to the imbalance between work and personal life. Hence, it has raised concerns about its impact on employed people. The term work-life balance has been coined to reflect these concerns. To achieve work-life balance, there is a lot of documentation about its benefits for the individual, the workplace and the community. The imbalance between work and personal life has caused midwives and nurses to experience stress and burnout, which has negative effects on hiring and retaining the workforce. After defending the proposal and approving the ethics committee of the university with the conditions of keeping the subjects' secrets and obtaining informed consent from the research units and the final approval of the above plan in the university, a written letter of introduction will be obtained from Ilam University of Medical Sciences. And the deputy of treatment is provided. After the above steps, a sampling permit will be obtained from the relevant authorities.
