Background and Objective: Studies’ results signify that critical care nurses lack desirable performance in performing endotracheal tube suctioning (ETS) despite necessary training during the study period. This study aimed to investigate and compare the effect of education through video and performance feedback on nurses’ skills in performing ETS.
Materials and Methods: This was a Quasi-Experimental study. The sample size comprised of all nurses (n=44) working in the critical care unit (CCU) of one of the educational hospital located in one of the western cities of Iran. Samples selected using convenience sampling method and divided randomly into two education group via performance feedback and educational video. A standard checklist was used to monitor nurses’ practice in endotracheal suctioning. Data were analyzed using SPSS software version 20.
Results: After the intervention, no significant difference was found in the total mean score of nurses’ practice in ETS between those who received education through educational video and those who received through performance feedback (16.3 vs 15.1) (P-0.737). Before and after the intervention, a significant improvement was observed in the total mean score and other dimensions of nurses’ practice in endotracheal suctioning (P<0.0001).
Conclusion: The results of the study showed that none of the specialty nurses (even nurses with high work experience) performed well in endotracheal suctioning in pre-test stage and all nurses performed post-test in both in-service feedback and training. Through the film it improved almost the same. However, the results of this study require longer monitoring and more accurate design.

Designing and using customized information systems to record patient information will be one of the key of public health organizations in monitoring and controlling hazardous diseases of public health. This system is generally referred to as registry systems and plays an important role in the systematic collection and optimal processing of specific disease data in specific geographical areas. Experience with recent epidemics of COVID-19-like diseases such as Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) and Mediterranean Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) has shown that the role of using information and monitoring systems and data management and information in managing the disease is highlighted. Establishing a dynamic, active, timely, real-time, complete, and accurate reporting system between stakeholders involved in the management and control of COVID-19 disease can reduce the burden of disease on society. In the meantime, it is vital to create a comprehensive, integrated and interactive system platform in which to provide a comprehensive and integrated view of information systems. The existence of this infrastructure makes our country more important as one of the countries where the prevalence of COVID-19 disease is high. Therefore, the aim of the present study is to design and implement the COVID -19 Disease Management Information System in Iran. In this study, we will try to take a step in the direction of collecting information fields required for disease reporting in the form of a minimum standard data set (MDS) and also developing custom web-based software (Web base) in the form of registry systems.

Review: The gastrointestinal tract is prone to disease due to high activity, poor eating habits, stress and environmental stresses, which impose costs on individuals and society. Endoscopy as an intervention that recognizes the disease before it stabilizes is effective in increasing survival and lowering the cost of treatment for patients; however, this procedure has some complications. Training was evaluated as an intervention to reduce endoscopic complications
Aims: The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of a short-term training program on endoscopic candidate readiness, colon cleansing quality, and endoscopic candidate anxiety
Methods: The study was conducted on 70 patients (age range 35-60) who had gastrointestinal endoscopy. The research tools were 1-Spielberger Anxiety Inventory (STAI), 2-Endoscopic readiness and 3-Colon Cleansing Quality. The data were then analyzed by SPSS V20 software.
Results: The sample consisted of 41 men and 29 women who were mostly employed, married, with a degree or higher. Most specimens had high levels of anxiety the day before endoscopy. After training in the experimental group, the endoscopic readiness was high (in the experimental group, 105.8 (5.6) and 62.6(7.8) in the control group), and the anxiety was significantly reduced (14% of the experimental group had severe anxiety and in the control group 71.4% had severe anxiety); Colon cleansing quality in the experimental group was significantly higher than the control group (experimental group 58.3(0.7) and in the control group 25.2 (0.6)).
Conclusion: Considering the role of education in preparing for endoscopic candidiasis and decreasing anxiety, it is recommended to use an effective, non-pharmacological and inexpensive intervention model designed and implemented in this study

Background and Aims: Background: Diabetes is one of the most common chronic diseases in old age. The informal caregivers of these patients undergo heavy care. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of the educational program on care burden of informal caregivers of elderly with type II diabetes in 2016-2017.
Materials and Methods: The present study was carried out according to the experimental purpose. In this study 80 out of 120 informal caregivers of elderly with diabetes who were referred to the Shahid Mostafa Khomeini Hospital in Ilam were selected by convenience sampling method and also randomly were placed in experiment (40 people) and control groups (40 people). The experiment group received 8 session with 2 hours duration (8 present and 3 phone session) as intervention. The data were collected using two questionnaires: demographic and Zarit's Care before and after (one and six weeks after intervention) intervention. The collected data were analysis by using statistical software SPSS 22 and descriptive and inferential statistical tests (covariance) at the significant level of 0.05.
Results: The results showed that there was a significant difference between the level of care burden of the experimental (72.73±7) and control groups (68.95±7) before intervention. Also, the educational program reduced the care burden mean of the experimental group to 64.64±10 and the care burden mean of control group to 68.32±5 at the first post test (p=0.009). The results of the follow-up phase indicated that the training program could significantly reduce the care burden mean of the experimental group (41.09±9) compared with the control group (68.75±5) (p=0.001).
Conclusion: According to the results, it can be concluded that the care burden of informal caregivers of elderly people with type II diabetes, after training intervention was significantly reduced. Therefore, this interventional program can be used to reduce the care burden of informal caregivers in this group of patients.
