Background: Dyspepsia is one of the most common gastrointestinal disorders. The aim of this study was to evaluate the prevalence of dyspepsia in Iran.
Patients and methods: This study was registered in PROSPERO with code (CRD42019148610) and conducted based on Meta-analyses Of Observational Studies in Epidemiology) MOOSE) and reporting was done in accordance with the reporting was done in accordance with the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-analysis (PRISMA). Systematic literature search was done in July 2019 using international online databases PubMed/Medline, Web of Science (ISI), Cochrane Library, Scopus, EMBASE, Science Direct, EBSCO, CINAHL, and national online databases Magiran, SID, RICST, IranDoc, Iranian National Library and Barakat Knowledge Network System and as well as Google Scholar. Heterogeneity was assessed using I2 and Chi-square tests. All analyses were performed with Comprehensive Meta-Analysis Software
