Considering the high rate of suicide in Ilam province compared to other regions of the country, it seems that investigations beyond descriptive and analytical studies are needed. Today, biological studies are one of the tools used in the diagnosis of various diseases, especially psychiatric diseases. The introduction of various biological factors in the study of the occurrence of diseases not only helps to identify them, but can also provide new solutions for their prevention and treatment. Based on this, we decided to investigate the status of oxidants, antioxidants, and nerve growth factor in suicidal individuals referred to Shahid Mostafa Hospital in Ilam city.
